The radiology service is supported by 11 full time radiology technical staff. This position will include a part time schedule at our satellite facility located in Waltham, Massachusetts in the western suburbs of Boston.

WHO WE ARE:

Angell serves Boston and the greater New England area as a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency hospital, and as a tertiary referral center. The veterinary staff is composed of 54 senior staff, 17 interns, and 13 residents. The senior staff includes specialists in the areas of anesthesiology, avian and exotic medicine, animal behavior, cardiology and cardiac surgery, dentistry, dermatology, emergency and critical care medicine, internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, nutrition, medical and radiation oncology, ophthalmology, pain medicine, anatomic and clinical pathology, diagnostic imaging, and surgery. The hospital contains a state-of-the-art critical care unit, a well-stocked blood bank, multiple specialty rooms, 6 surgical suites, an intermediate care ward, newly renovated I-131 ward, and numerous general care and isolation wards.

Angell West is a 24-hour emergency and referral satellite hospital located in Waltham, MA, a small city 11 miles from downtown Boston. The hospital is approximately 10,000 square feet, and has been newly renovated. It is equipped with a new Toshiba Xario 200 ultrasound machine, digital radiography, endoscopy, laparoscopy equipment, echocardiography, telemetry, and 3 surgical suites. Bloodwork is sent to the fully equipped pathology lab in Boston twice daily (in addition to in-house Abaxis, NOVA, and Procyte machines). Our collegial staff includes an emergency/critical care department (2 specialists, 9 intern trained emergency doctors), internal medicine (one specialist), surgery (one specialist), avian-exotics (1 specialist), cardiology (one specialist), neurology (appointments offered two days/month), and behavior (appointments offered monthly). We are looking to add additional specialties, as well as grow the existing departments. Additionally, we are planning to expand our physical space in 2018, with the addition of new equipment and services.

The MSPCA-Angell operates Animal Care and Adoption facilities in several locations, including one that serves farm animals; provides law enforcement for neglect and cruelty investigations; has an advocacy department advancing policies to protect animals; and provides humane education. There are numerous ways to volunteer and be involved in the greater mission.

LIFE IN MASSACHUSETTS:
