Job Description

Veterinary Radiation Oncology of the Chesapeake in Annapolis, MD is seeking a full-time board eligible or certified radiation oncologist to join our practice. We are privately owned and operate within Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center, a shared facility that encompasses specialists in emergency and critical care, neurology, medical oncology, cardiology, surgery, internal medicine, and ophthalmology. Our practice has locations in Annapolis, Columbia and Towson, MD.

Our brand new 28,000 sq ft facility in Annapolis includes a 6/18 MV, multi-energy electron Varian Trilogy linear accelerator with SRS and IMRT capabilities, 120-leaf MLC, 4DTC, on-board imaging with CBCT, Rapid Arc technology, and Eclipse planning software. We also feature an on-site 1.5 T MRI & 16-slice CT. We employ licensed radiation therapists, physicists and veterinary technicians to support our radiation oncologist.

Our commitment is to our clients - not just the four-legged variety but our colleagues with whom we share space, and to our primary care veterinarians. We are seeking a radiation oncologist who thrives in a busy environment, is committed to educating staff and referring veterinarians about the benefits of radiation therapy and who has an entrepreneurial spirit. We value your quality of life and strive to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance by providing you with the tools and support staff to help you efficiently excel at your job.

Opportunities for CE and professional development through travel and professional interactions are encouraged and provided. In addition to standard benefits of medical, dental, vision, vacation, CE and 401K, we offer a generous compensation package which includes relocation assistance. In addition, the potential for partnership exists in the future for the right candidate. Annapolis, MD is the state capital and the home of the United States Naval Academy and St. John’s College. It is also known as the "sailboat capital of the world” and every October, it's the site of the world's largest sailboard and power boat shows. In addition to sailing, there are great opportunities for boating, fishing and other water activities, as well as other outdoor activities, shopping, restaurants and more. We are also a short drive to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. as well as several beaches. Several international airports are nearby, allowing easy access for travel.
