Job Description

The MSPCA-Angell Animal Medical Center (AAMC) in Boston, MA is seeking applicants for a newly created part time (20 hours a week) position in our diagnostic imaging service. If you are a Veterinary Radiologist looking for a part time position, come join our busy and growing Angell team.

Angell Animal Medical Center (AAMC) serves Boston and the greater New England area as a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency hospital, and as a tertiary referral center. The veterinary staff is composed of 54 senior staff, 20 interns, and 13 residents.

The MSPCA-Angell in Boston, MA is seeking applicants for a new staff position in diagnostic imaging. We are actively recruiting candidates for a full-time position as a clinical small animal radiologist, joining our team of three full-time radiologists and one part-time radiologist. The radiology department at Angell Boston features two digital radiography suites using a Del Medical DR system, a newly installed (summer 2019) 80 slice Canon Aquilion Lightning CT, an MR suite with a 1.5T GE Optima MR360 Advance magnet, a nuclear scintigraphy suite, a digital fluoroscopy suite with a mobile GE 9900 C-Arm, one Canon Aplio i700 ultrasound, and one Toshiba Aplio 300 ultrasound. The radiology service is supported by approximately 15 full time dedicated imaging technicians/assistants.

The MSPCA-Angell operates Animal Care and Adoption facilities in several locations, including one that serves farm animals; provides law enforcement for neglect and cruelty investigations; has an advocacy department advancing policies to protect animals; and provides humane education. Competitive applicants will be board certified or board eligible in veterinary radiology. While research is not a required part of the job, there is ample opportunity for clinical research for motivated individuals.
