Job Description

The Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas (VSH) is seeking locum coverage over the summer. We have openings from May through September, to be filled by one or multiple candidates. We are a 3-hospital multispecialty small animal practice composed of Internal Medicine (5 specialists), Surgery (6), Medical & Radiation Oncology (4), Neurology (1), Radiology (3), Cardiology (2), Critical Care (2), Anesthesia (1), Nutrition (1), and 24-hour Emergency (20+) departments. Our doctors pride themselves on providing expert, timely, collaborative, and compassionate care. VSH supports a well-established client base of referral veterinarians in the area and is consistently growing. Current radiology services include radiographic interpretation, ultrasound (in-patient and out-patient), CT, and MRI. Imaging Equipment:

  • Ultrasound: 3 stationary machines (1 per hospital) are GE logiq S8, Toshiba Aplio 700, and Samsung RS80A with Prestige V3.
  • X-ray: 3 x-ray suites (1 per hospital) with Cannon DR plates and VetRocket software and support
  • CT: 64 slice NeuViz In
  • MRI: 1.5 T Siemens Magnetom Avanto with TIM (Total Imaging Matrix)
  • Integrated RIS-PACS with telemedicine capabilities
