Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists is seeking applicants for short-term radiologist for the months of July through October 2019. Longer term locums are also welcome. ACVR Board certification required.
Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists moved into a brand-new, state-of-the-art, multispecialty/emergency hospital on January 1, 2019. We support 31 specialists in 13 specialties including surgery, neurology, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, dentistry, medical and radiation oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology, cardiology, anesthesiology, and avian/exotics.
The locum role requires interpretation of DR, CT (64-slice), MRI (1.5 T), nuclear medicine, ultrasound, fluoroscopic procedures and contrast studies in small animals and exotic species (if interested). Performance of ultrasound is in conjunction with our 5 registered diagnostic medical sonographers and diagnostic imaging interns.
We have a dedicated read room with acoustic wall and ceiling panels, blue ambient back lighting, ergonomic desks and chairs, medical grade monitors, and voice recognition. All reporting is performed on a single automated interpretation platform.
Compensation is dependent upon experience and is negotiable. Licensure by the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medicine would be required and GCVS would cover the associated fees.
