The School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for a one-year Cardiology/Ultrasound Fellowship, renewable for a second year with the consent of both parties. Requirements include a VMD/DVM degree or equivalent, and demonstrated interest in large animal ultrasound and cardiology. The successful applicant will learn to perform and interpret ultrasonographic, echocardiographic, and electrocardiographic examinations in large animals, and learn to treat a variety of large animal diseases. S/he will be expected to participate in the clinical examination of large animal patients presented for ultrasonographic and cardiac examination, under the supervision of the faculty in large animal ultrasound and cardiology. S/he will be a critical team member in the day-to-day functioning of the ultrasound and cardiology service and will be expected to participate in student teaching and, as time permits, in ongoing research investigations in the areas of ultrasonography and cardiology.
The position will be available July 1, 2019. Application deadline is December 3, 2018 or until the position is filled. The salary for this position is $34,500.00 for the first year.
